Economic Impact of Water Trails

The Pennsylvania Legislative Budget and Finance Committee (LB & FC) contracted with ICF International to conduct a case study of the economic impact of Pennsylvania’s water trails on the state economy. Four trails of the state’s 21 water trails were selected for the study: the Schuylkill, Susquehanna North Branch, Juniata, and Three Rivers. This study is part of an ongoing effort to promote, maintain, and expand the large network of designated water trails across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
